Role Title: Assembly Fitter
Contract: PAYE | Hours: 37 per week
Shifts: Core Days (Early & Late options available)
Hours: Mon-Thu: 07:30-16:15 | Fri: 07:30-11:30
Due to the nature of this role, applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK and meet ITAR compliance requirements.
The Role
We're recruiting Assembly Fitters to join a precision manufacturing Valves Department supporting civil and military aerospace programmes. Aerospace experience is beneficial but not essential, full training is provided for candidates with strong assembly skills.
You'll assemble valve components using hand tools and torque equipment, working from detailed engineering drawings and contributing to right‑first‑time build quality.
Drawing interpretation will form part of the interview process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble valve components using hand tools and torque equipment
- Read and interpret detailed technical drawings
- Follow safe working practices and 5S standards
- Support quality, cost reduction and on‑time delivery targets
- Work independently once trained while remaining a strong team player
What You'll Need
Essential:
- Previous mechanical or assembly experience
- Ability to read and follow engineering drawings
- Good hand dexterity and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and adapt
Desirable:
- Aerospace assembly experience
- Fuel testing experience

- Core Days: £18.13 | £20.77 inc. holiday
- OT: £27.20 | £31.15 inc. holiday
- Sun: £36.26 | £41.54 inc. holiday
- Earlies (+10%): £19.94 | £22.84 inc. holiday
- Lates (+20%): £21.76 | £24.92 inc. holiday
After 12 Weeks
- Core Days: £18.68 | £21.40 inc. holiday
- OT: £28.03 | £32.10 inc. holiday
- Sun: £37.37 | £42.80 inc. holiday
- Earlies (+10%): £20.55 | £23.54 inc. holiday
- Lates (+20%): £22.42 | £25.68 inc. holiday
