Global manufacturer requires a Purchasing Assistant on a 12 month FTC basis to support procurement and supply chain planning activities. Applicants will ideally have office-based experience within a manufacturing or engineering business. Experience in, or previous exposure to procurement or supply chain tasks would be advantageous.
The Purchasing Assistant will support tasks around; purchase order management, supplier liaison, data management, and inventory/stock control.
Specific duties of the Purchasing Assistant include:
- Purchase order management for direct/indirect areas of spend
- Expediting and maintenance of correct data in MRP
- Monitoring of; stock, inventory and Kanban levels
- Stakeholder engagement
- Monitoring supplier KPI performance - quality, cost, delivery, spend
- Maintain ERP master data
Purchasing Assistant applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Exposure to procurement, suppliers or supply chain tasks would be advantageous
- Collaborative, team player
- IT literacy - MS Office packages, MRP and ERP (desirable)
- Comfortable with hybrid working, and working a 12 month FTC position
