Location: Bristol (Keynsham) - hybrid working, 2 days per week from home

We're currently recruiting for a Reconciliation Analyst (Takings & Banking) to support a busy finance function on an initial 3-month contract. This role will focus on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of sales, takings, and banking transactions, while helping to reduce a backlog of unreconciled items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve unreconciled cash, unmatched transactions, and discrepancies across takings and banking

  • Reconcile POS data, bank statements, and Oracle/Open Accounts ledgers

  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reporting using Power BI

  • Prepare journals and support accurate general ledger reporting

  • Liaise with internal finance teams and operational sites to resolve queries

  • Identify and support process improvements within the cash and banking cycle

  • Support ad hoc reconciliation and reporting tasks as required

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in bank reconciliations or similar transactional finance roles

  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle Financials (EBS or Fusion); Open Accounts experience beneficial

  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data analysis)

  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Confident communicator, able to work with finance and non-finance stakeholders

Desirable:

  • Studying towards AAT or equivalent

  • Strong risk and control awareness

  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a problem-solving mindset
