A market-leading business require a Procurement Manager to lead all procurement activities both strategic and operational for the business. Applicants need previous experience in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing and be familiar with the raw materials and ingredients used in these industries.
The Procurement Manager will report into Operations, and have full ownership of procurement department strategies encompassing; supplier management/selection, contract negotiations, supporting NPD and driving the achievement of OTIF. The role also has a small team management element.
Specific duties of the Procurement Manager include:
- Supplier landscaping activities particularly in regards to packaging and chemical/pharmaceutical raw materials and ingredients
- Sourcing of suppliers, and negotiation of LTAs with new and existing supply chain partners
- Ensure suppliers achieve OTIF KPIs
- Management and mentoring of procurement team
- Support NPD activities from a procurement stand-point
- Cross-functional collaboration
Procurement Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Procurement, Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing or Supply Chain Management experience
- Knowledge of chemical, pharmaceutical raw materials/ingredients, and packaging supplier landscapes
- Strategic procurement skills - sourcing, negotiations, supplier relationship and contract management
- Experienced in MRP/ERP systems and how to optimise them
- Ability to mentor and manage a small team of Buyers
