Our client, a leading company in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Stores Operative to join their dynamic team. This permanent role supports our client's growing manufacturing operations and is key to ensuring efficient and accurate management of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive goods and materials accurately and efficiently via the Goods Inwards process
  • Process all goods receipt documentation, including scanning, and handle booking-in issues
  • Ensure all stock is correctly stored, labelled, and packed to prevent contamination and damage
  • Pick work orders according to picking lists with high accuracy
  • Perform general physical activities in the stores area, such as loading, unloading, sorting, cleaning, and stock movements
  • Follow manual handling guidelines, using appropriate lifting equipment when necessary
  • Maintain an organised, clean, and safe stores area and yard
  • Support waste management processing for all packaging
  • Maintain high levels of stock accuracy and report discrepancies to the Logistics Manager
  • Undertake other duties as required by the Head of Unit

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Stores Operative in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer literacy and numeracy skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data table updates
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems for inventory movements
  • Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience in Goods-In Quality inspection (desirable)

Applicants must be prepared to undergo security vetting to BPSS level.
