The Role:
We are seeking a high-calibre Electrical Engineer to join our team in Sintra. You will be responsible for overseeing specialist electrical sub-contractors, ensuring that design, development, and installation phases are completed to the highest standards and within the agreed project programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
System Management: Oversee all works in alignment with our Integrated Management System (IMS) and rigorous quality standards.
Technical Coordination: Manage and review technical drawings and provide expert guidance to sub-contracted staff throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership: Organise and delegate tasks to the technical team, ensuring that resource allocation meets project demands.
Site Safety & Compliance: Champion a culture of safety. You will ensure all sub-contractors adhere to Health & Safety obligations, perform weekly safety checks, and proactively suggest improvements to site working methods.
Documentation & Handover: Maintain meticulous document control, keep project logs up to date, and compile essential handover and system test packs.
Technical Troubleshooting: Identify potential issues early and implement effective corrective actions to keep the project on track.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, technically-minded engineer with a background in complex mechanical and electrical (M&E) contracting.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Academic Background: A degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Electrical Engineering is essential. HNC/HND qualifications are also highly desirable.
Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within an M&E contracting environment.
Sector Knowledge: Experience within the Data Centre or large-scale mission-critical infrastructure sector is a distinct advantage.
Core Skills: You must possess excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage time effectively under pressure.
Software: Professional proficiency in MS Office (specifically Word and Excel) is required.
