We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Package Manager to take ownership of a major electrical package on a flagship data centre project in Lisbon.

The Role

As the Electrical Package Manager, you will manage the full lifecycle of the electrical package. Your remit covers everything from design coordination and procurement to installation, testing, and final handover. You will be the primary point of contact for subcontractors and site teams, ensuring the package is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Package Management: Lead the electrical systems package from design coordination through to final commissioning and site handover.

  • Safety Leadership: Champion a robust QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental) culture. In collaboration with the Project Manager and Safety Advisors, you will manage the setup and close-out of the project safety file.

  • Commercial & Cost Control: Take full ownership of costs associated with the electrical package, including:

    • Management of internal electrical teams and subcontractors.

    • Oversight of material deliveries and plant/equipment hire.

    • Processing variations, valuations, and goods receipting.

  • Site Operations: Supervise day-to-day site activities, ensuring all work adheres to company policies and project schedules.

  • Quality Control: Manage the "In-Progress" snagging system, ensuring supervisors submit weekly punch lists and that all snags are rectified by subcontractors promptly.

  • Progress Reporting: * Compile Internal Weekly Reports summarising labour levels, percentage completion against WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) codes, and internal risks.

    • Compile External Weekly Reports for the Project Manager, highlighting third-party delays, design shortages, and site constraints.

  • Meeting Representation: Attend and contribute to site meetings, engineering reviews, planning sessions, and handover briefings.

  • Logistics: Schedule and track all material deliveries to ensure alignment with the master project programme.

About You

We are looking for a commercially astute manager with a deep technical understanding of complex electrical systems.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Project Experience: Proven experience in managing large-scale packages, ideally within the Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, or Heavy Industrial sectors.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of design-and-build projects and a track record of coordinating complex M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) systems.

  • Industrial Relations: Experience handling industrial relations and managing diverse labour forces.

  • Safety Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of current Health & Safety regulations and best practices.

  • Software Skills: Highly proficient in MS Office and industry-standard engineering software.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive performance across multiple teams.
