Our client, a key player in the Defence & Security sector, is looking for a skilled Chemical Engineer to join their team on a 12-month contract based in Glascoed. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant projects within the defence sector, working on cutting-edge technologies and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and optimising chemical processes for defence-related applications
  • Conducting detailed analysis and testing to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Implementing safety procedures and protocols to maintain secure operations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support project goals
  • Preparing technical documentation and reports detailing process specifications
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting chemical processes to maximise efficiency and safety
  • Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Providing technical support and expertise for ongoing and upcoming projects

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in chemical engineering
  • Deep understanding of chemical processes and safety protocols
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards within the defence sector
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to prepare detailed technical documentation and reports
  • Capability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Relevant degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field

Contract Details:

  • Location: Glascoed
  • Duration: 12 months
  • Working hours: 37 per week, hybrid, 3 days on-site, 1 day remote
  • Inside IR35
