Our client, a prominent organisation in the rail industry, is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to become a key member of their Transport Solutions MEPHFC Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and monitor technical submittals for client approval
  • Produce detailed electrical designs tailored to project requirements
  • Develop designs from feasibility through to completion
  • Create design proposals for agreement with stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Write project communications such as Requests For Information (RFIs) and meeting minutes
  • Maintain trackers, registers, and schedules
  • Conduct design reviews and adhere to design assurance processes

Job Requirements:

  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in rail station or buildings electrical services design and coordination
  • Experience working in an engineering production environment
  • Understanding of multi-disciplinary design and coordination, with high-quality project delivery
  • Proficiency in working with 3D models in a BIM environment
  • Experience in producing drawings, schedules, and calculations
  • Ability to solve engineering problems efficiently
  • Experience managing design interfaces and integration processes
  • Knowledge of British Standards and Regulations
  • Understanding of project scopes, requirements, and works information
  • Awareness of delivering work within programme and budget constraints
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good understanding of electrical systems from a technical and design perspective
  • Experience with engineering software tools such as Trimble/Amtech Pro Design, Dialux or Relux
  • Right to work in the UK
