Our client, operating in the highways sector, is seeking a Level 4 Cathodic Protection Specialist for a contract role. The specialist will focus on the structural integrity of reinforced concrete bridge structures under the clients oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled monitoring of Impressed Current CP systems on reinforced concrete structures.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret electrochemical data to assess CP system performance.
  • Verify compliance with BS EN ISO 12696 criteria for cathodic protection effectiveness.
  • Prepare technical reports detailing system performance, anomalies, and recommendations.
  • Maintain records of monitoring activities for asset management and auditing purposes.
  • Provide technical advice and recommend corrective actions based on monitoring results.
  • Ensure all activities comply with BS EN ISO 15257 requirements and relevant health and safety regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Level 4 Cathodic Protection Specialist Certification in accordance with BS EN ISO 15257 for the Reinforced Concrete sector.
  • Proven experience in monitoring and maintaining CP systems for reinforced concrete structures.
  • Strong knowledge of BS EN ISO 12696 requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting CP data and diagnosing system performance issues.
  • Excellent technical reporting and communication skills.
  • Experience with maintenance of bridge structures and highway infrastructure (desirable).
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., ICorr) (desirable).
  • Familiarity with UK highways standards and asset management systems (desirable).
  • Valid driving licence for car use (category B).
