Assistant/Junior Project Manager
Location: Brighton, UK
Contract: Initial 6-month contract
Rate: £40 per hour (Umbrella)
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days on-site, 2 days remote

The Role

We are seeking a Project Support Person to support the successful delivery of aerospace and engineering programmes. This entry-level / graduate role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in project and programme management within a structured, professional environment.

You will work closely with Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, providing day-to-day support across multiple programmes and contributing to operational targets through organised and methodical support activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to Project Managers and Senior PMs across a range of programmes
  • Assist with progress tracking, action follow-up, and coordination of project deliverables
  • Prepare and maintain small-scale project schedules using MS Project (training provided if required)
  • Support project communications and updates under PM direction
  • Format draft technical memos and assist with document preparation
  • Monitor project hours and support budget tracking activities
  • Contribute to light-touch reporting on project status, risks, and issues
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to support effective programme execution
  • Follow standard processes and contribute to improvements in work routines

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience (graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Alternatively, a minimum of 4 years' relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
