As they continue to expand their footprint in Portugal, they are looking for a technically minded, commercially aware Mechanical Engineer to join their specialist team in Lisbon.
This isn't just about overseeing a site; it's about taking ownership of complex technical deliveries in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where precision is everything.
The Role
Joining the mechanical team, you will be a linchpin in the project's success. You will bridge the gap between initial design and final commissioning, ensuring that every element of the mechanical services is delivered to an impeccable standard.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Technical Oversight: Managing the full lifecycle of technical delivery-from reviewing tender documents and selecting plant materials to coordinating complex service drawings.
Design & Coordination: Leading design management and working closely with contractors to ensure all services integrate seamlessly on-site.
Project Management: Crafting robust method statements and risk assessments, ensuring all HVAC deliverables meet strict safety and quality criteria.
Commercial Strategy: Validating projects upon handover and managing the technical procurement of specialist equipment and subcontractors.
On-Site Execution: Guiding the installation process, sequencing pipework to hit critical milestones, and overseeing the journey through to final commissioning and handover.
About You
You are an engineer who thrives on the "how" as much as the "what." You have a sharp eye for detail and the communication skills to manage diverse stakeholders and contractors effectively.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Proven Experience: A solid background within a Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) contracting environment.
Design Expertise: Essential experience in design management.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or a related discipline).
Technical Proficiency: Professional fluency in MS Office and MS Project.
Soft Skills: Exceptional organisational abilities and the knack for keeping projects on track under pressure.
