Our client, a leading organisation in the automotive sector, is currently seeking an ADAS Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the delivery of ADAS safety systems within an OEM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Front Camera and Radar fusion systems with the delivery of LDW (Lane Departure Warning), LKA (Lane Keeping Assist), TSR (Traffic Sign Recognition), and AEB (Automated Emergency Braking).
  • Define features, attributes, system design, and validation requirements from the earliest concept stages.
  • Work on ADAS product roadmaps and technology demonstrators to define advanced ADAS technologies for the future.
  • Responsible for system specification, DFMEA, functional safety, BoM management, validation planning, test specification, and vehicle verification and validation.
  • Deliver all required elements of the Development Process (MDP) to agreed gateway timings and cost.
  • Handle multi-system and multi-vehicle responsibilities, contributing to shaping the vehicle electrical architecture.

Job Requirements:

  • Higher degree qualified in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in ADAS feature system design & development, systems engineering, and the engineering V-lifecycle within an OEM or tier 1.
  • Familiarity with ADAS Sensor Fusion systems, mono & stereo camera systems, Radar system functional safety (ISO26262), and ADAS sensor calibration and tuning.
  • Proficiency in documenting Technical Specifications, DFMEA, DVP, Timing Plans, and Minutes and Actions of Meetings.
  • Experience with Vector automotive products (e.g. CANoe, CANape, CANalyser) and automotive communication protocols (CAN/Ethernet/LIN).
  • Understanding of vehicle-level system integration in terms of hardware and software.
  • Organised and systematic approach with the ability to manage time effectively between multiple projects.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
