Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled Project Manager for a contract position. This role entails working closely with Oil and Gas personnel to deploy products onto an Oil Rig. Familiarity with highly regulated, safety-critical environments is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the delivery of projects and supported business activities as specified in the Project Brief.
- Planning, budgeting, reporting, executing and delivering projects on time, within budget and to the required specifications.
- Supporting the Programme Delivery Practice tasks when required.
- Maintaining a high level of individual expertise and credibility through professional development.
- Managing and overseeing project tasks, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Developing and maintaining project plans, financial budgets, and resource requirements.
- Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers and ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing clear management to project teams and ensuring standards are met.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in project management, preferably in a highly regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and current practices.
- Project Management qualification (APM PMQ or equivalent) is essential.
- Relevant degree is desirable.
- Experience of delivering and integrating complex projects, with a background in Air Traffic Management being advantageous.
- Proven track record of building strong commercial relationships and managing contracts effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate with local management and project teams.
- Understanding of business drivers and ability to adapt projects to deliver business needs.
