A global consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Principal Hydraulic Modeller to join their team. Based in Leeds, this contract role specialises in wastewater modelling for a 6-month period, with the potential for hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and calibrating hydraulic models to support wastewater management projects
- Evaluating and interpreting hydraulic data to ensure accurate modelling outcomes
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate hydraulic solutions into larger project plans
- Providing technical guidance and support to junior modellers and project teams
- Preparing detailed reports and documentation on modelling methodologies and findings
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Liaising with stakeholders to present findings and recommend actionable solutions
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in hydraulic modelling, particularly in the wastewater sector
- Expertise in the use of hydraulic and civil engineering software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent report writing and presentation abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant degree in civil engineering, hydraulics, or a related discipline
- Flexibility to adapt to hybrid and flexible working arrangements
