Our client is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team near Leeds. This is a contract role, ideal for professionals with experience in highway projects and a background in the contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing multiple schemes within buildings and highways
- Administering contracts under JCT & ECC forms
- Preparing and managing budgets, cost forecasts, and financial statements
- Evaluating project costs and providing detailed cost analysis
- Conducting site visits to ensure project compliance and quality standards
- Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery
- Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors for cost-effective solutions
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
Job Requirements:
- Experience in quantity surveying within the highways sector
- Proficient understanding of JCT & ECC forms of contract
- Strong background in a contracting environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Contract Details:
- Contract position with an anticipated duration of 6 months

- Working arrangements: 3 days a week in office with occasional site visits
