An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Systems Engineer to join a dynamic space systems team, contributing to missions from LEO to GEO and beyond. You will be involved across the full mission lifecycle - from concept and design through AIT, launch, commissioning, and operational life - giving you the chance to see your work delivered to space on a rapid timescale.
The role requires full on-site working initially. Once established, there may be the opportunity to work from home 1-2 days per week, subject to business and project needs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead or support system engineering activities across all project phases, from requirements to operations
Perform system-level design of space and ground segments, including mission analysis and design trade-offs
Develop concepts of operations and support customer-facing presentations
Support bid and tender activities, working closely with Sales and Engineering teams
Lead or support technical studies, ensuring delivery to cost, schedule, and technical requirements
Prepare high-quality project documentation and reports
Required Experience
Proven experience as a spacecraft Systems Engineer
Experience acting as a technical lead on space mission projects
Experience designing missions from end-user requirements (cradle-to-grave)
Experience designing and analysing space and ground segments to subsystem level
Knowledge of requirements and verification management
Desirable:
Spacecraft-level testing or commissioning experience
Skills & Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics (or equivalent)
Strong technical writing and presentation skills
Knowledge of orbit analysis, RF links, system budgets, ground segments, operations, and satellite architectures
Experience with STK, MATLAB, and standard MS Office tools
Familiarity with FMECA, FDIR, and space flight assembly and test methods
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
