We are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Engineer to join our passionate team and work hands-on with cutting‑edge technologies at the forefront of life science innovation. This is a field‑based role with extensive travel across the UK and Ireland, with additional opportunities to support projects in other regions - ideal for someone who thrives on variety, challenge and meaningful impact. As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our customers and collaborating closely with our development teams to ensure our advanced systems deliver maximum value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure a range of precision life science instrumentation.

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and on‑site customer repairs.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex system issues.

  • Implement system updates and optimise performance for reliability and efficiency.

  • Provide technical assistance both on‑site and remotely.

  • Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams.

  • Prepare technical quotations and detailed service reports.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with ISO accreditation requirements.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, electronic or biomedical preferred) or equivalent qualification.

  • 3+ years of experience in a related field or in‑house service role.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive, solution‑driven mindset.

  • Experience in a customer‑facing role is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities.

  • High level of flexibility, independence and willingness to travel up to 60%.

  • Fluent English; additional European languages are beneficial.

  • UK driver's licence and access to a car.
