We are seeking a Registered Building Control Surveyor to join their team on a contract basis. This role is within the buildings sector, focusing on ensuring compliance with building regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting plan checks and building inspections to ensure compliance with regulations
- Advising on Class 3G and Class 3H building control matters
- Monitoring ongoing construction projects to verify they meet safety and structural standards
- Assessing and approving applications for building control compliance
- Providing technical guidance to stakeholders including developers, architects, and contractors
- Maintaining thorough records of inspections and outcomes
- Collaborating with colleagues across various departments to support the efficient delivery of building control services
- Keeping up to date with legislative changes and industry developments
Job Requirements:
- Registration as a Building Control Surveyor
- Experience in plan checking and building inspections within a local authority context
- Proficiency with Class 3G and 3H building control regulations
- Strong understanding of building regulations and safety standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
