The Role

Based in Glasgow, this senior position involves leading the development and delivery of high-quality renewable energy projects. You will take ownership of individual projects and lead key tasks to ensure the successful transition of assets into operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Manage key pre-construction and construction activities, including grid applications, general engineering, and contract procurement.
  • Contract Administration: Oversee contract preparation, negotiation, and performance tracking, including payment processes and deliverable management.
  • Technical Oversight: Monitor technical and HSE compliance, ensuring all projects adhere to CDM regulations.
  • Delivery Management: Manage the overall delivery of projects until a seamless handover to the asset management team.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary interface for regulators, statutory consultees, and local communities.
  • Commercial Analysis: Translate technical details into commercial impacts and navigate project economics and energy market trends.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Qualifications: Minimum of a degree-level qualification in Project Management, Engineering, or Planning.
  • Industry Expertise: At least 7 years of experience within the renewable energy industry.
  • Track Record: Proven experience leading the development and delivery of wind farms, solar PV, or battery storage (BESS) projects.
  • Grid Knowledge: Direct experience working with grid operators and managing the delivery of grid connections.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of the UK consenting processes and health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Software: Proficient in technical software such as AutoCAD, GIS, or PVSyst.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to anticipate complex project issues and propose innovative, autonomous solutions.
