Our client, a key player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Engineer - Mechanical Engineering for a contract position in Barrow. This role offers hybrid work arrangements, requiring 2-3 days per week on-site and is a 12-month contract inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop design solutions to agreed time, cost, and quality in accordance with project or business milestones.
- Develop and manage requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system or product and/or across a system of systems, platform or programme.
- Understand the contractual and performance requirements for various systems and support the definition and associated acceptance criteria and events through design, build, integration, installation, and commissioning activities.
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a Mechanical Engineer within the Defence & Security sector.
- Strong understanding of design solutions and requirements management.
- Ability to manage acceptance criteria for systems across various stages of the project lifecycle.
- Familiarity with submarine systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
