Key Responsibilities
Task Management
- Assemble and test products in line with agreed engineering methods and processes.
- Complete surveys and repairs following established practices.
- Support and adhere to all quality procedures, ensuring compliance with defined processes and standards.
Autonomy
- Carry out assembly tasks independently and without supervision.
Continuous Improvement
- Work collaboratively to identify productivity and performance improvement opportunities.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to support cost reduction and efficiency.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in safety, health, and environmental practices within the work area.
People & Self‑Development
- Take an active role in your own development, supporting task flexibility through the Skills Matrix.
- Participate in annual and interim PDR discussions with the Production Supervisor.
Communication
- Attend start‑of‑shift meetings to align on targets, priorities, and key updates.
- Contribute to end‑of‑shift reviews to evaluate performance.
- Escalate any issues to the Production Supervisor promptly and appropriately.
Qualifications & Experience
- Ability to perform a range of tasks within the team environment.
- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
Key Performance Measures
- Achieve and maintain approved operator stamp with relevant scope approval.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of lean methodologies and principles.
- Deliver tasks on time and to the highest standard.
- Minimise job card variances.
