Electrical Engineering Lead | European Data Centre Delivery
The Role
Are you a specialist in power infrastructure ready to lead on a continental scale? We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Lead to take command of our technical design and delivery across Europe. This is a pivotal role for a mobile, proactive engineer who excels in the high-stakes environment of data centre construction.
This position is designed for an expert who values autonomy. You will combine the flexibility of hybrid working with a dynamic travel schedule, overseeing projects from initial tender through to final commissioning.
Your Mission
As the Electrical Engineering Lead, you will be the technical heartbeat of our European operations:
Strategic Technical Oversight: Lead multidisciplinary design teams through the pre-construction and installation phases, ensuring that complex electrical designs are translated perfectly into operational reality.
On-Site Leadership: Travel across our European project sites to troubleshoot technical bottlenecks, ensuring that progress remains aligned with the master construction programme.
End-to-End Procurement: Mastermind the internal procurement process-interfacing with the supply chain to secure high-spec equipment and maintaining a flawless audit trail from requisition to site delivery.
Safety & Quality Integrity: Take full ownership of Health and Safety standards, preparing robust risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) while ensuring all site personnel hold the requisite certifications.
Operational Partnership: Collaborate directly with the Operations Director to manage resource allocation, prepare project teams for deployment, and ensure our plant operations exceed client expectations at handover.
The Requirements
Qualified Expert: A Degree in Electrical Engineering is essential.
Data Centre Specialist: Extensive experience within the data centre sector is a must; you understand the unique technical nuances and "zero-failure" mindset required.
European Mobility: You must hold an EU Passport and be fully open to flexible travel across various European territories.
Effective Communicator: You are adept at liaising between corporate design teams and site-based contractors, ensuring everyone is pulling towards the same delivery goals.
