The M&E Design Engineer plays a vital role within the design team. You will be responsible for the design delivery of substation mechanical and electrical systems across a whole range of electrical infrastructures as well as new connection projects in both the distribution and transmission sectors.
Here is are some of the responsibiltes you'd be involved in...
1. You will carry out detailed design and calculations activities for M&E functions of substations including;
- LVAC design
- Lighting design
- Fire/Alarm
- Drainage
- Containment
- HVAC
2. Provide support to wider design team, ensuring compliance to relevant industry standards
3. Familiar with required software such as AutoCAD to produce drawings for these designs
4. Identify BoM for M&E works on substations

- Experience of 11/33/132kV Substations
- Ability to provide insight to project and design risk during HAZID reviews
- Experience in conducting drainage surveys
- Ability to liaise directly with suppliers to assist in BoM activities
