Our client is currently seeking a Structures Engineer with a specialism in bridges to join their onsite team. This is a contract position, with duties extending through December 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting sample and scheduled inspections of permanent works structures, including viaducts, tunnels, and bridges, to certify compliance with the Employer's Contract Quality Plan.
- Inspecting, witnessing, and advising on specified tests on or off-site, and certifying the adequacy of the Works.
- Establishing a team to deliver site-based and office-based support services.
- Ensuring Health & Safety within the organisation.
- Monitoring construction activities and supporting the Construction Assurance Team to ensure contracted services are received.
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in structural engineering with a focus on bridge projects.
- Chartered Engineer status.
- Experience in conducting site inspections and preparing detailed reports.
- Strong knowledge of construction assurance and quality control procedures.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- BSc/BEng with an emphasis in structural engineering.
