Our client is seeking 2 Tunnelling Engineers to join their team on a Nuclear Licensed Site. This contract role requires individuals with a strong background in civil engineering and significant tunnelling experience. You must be eligible for BPSS clearance, and there is an opportunity to choose between day and night shift patterns. The start date for this position is in March.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing tunnelling operations on a nuclear licensed site
- Ensuring all tunnelling activities are carried out safely and efficiently
- Coordinating with project teams to meet project goals and deadlines
- Conducting site inspections and overseeing tunnelling activities
- Maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Providing technical support and input for tunnelling projects
- Preparing and reviewing technical reports and documentation
- Implementing and monitoring quality control procedures
Job Requirements:
- Strong background in civil engineering with significant tunnelling experience
- Experience working on nuclear licensed sites is advantageous
- Eligibility for BPSS clearance is mandatory
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry standards
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work on either day or night shifts
