Our client, a leading engineering provider in Portland, Dorset, is seeking a proactive and influential Management Accountant to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain strong financial controls and disciplines
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and ad‑hoc financial reports
- Deliver timely and insightful management information to support decision‑making
- Provide reliable forecasting and reporting to key stakeholders, adapting to business changes
- Work closely with the wider business to manage cashflow and proactively identify risks
- Build strong working relationships and present confidently at all levels
- Maintain compliance with financial policies, standards, and processes
- Communicate financial information effectively to non‑finance managers
- Champion best‑practice finance processes and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data
Requirements:
- CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified (QBE considered)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting roles
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills
- Adaptable, positive, and keen to support the ongoing development of the finance function
- Experience in long‑term project accounting under IFRS 15
- Background in engineering or manufacturing environments preferred
