About the Role
A leading international contractor specialising in mission‑critical and large‑scale infrastructure projects is seeking a Design Engineer to join its expanding design team. This role will support the design, coordination, and delivery of a major data centre project in Finland.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design development from concept through construction and commissioning.
- Produce, review, and coordinate design drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Collaborate with internal design teams, BIM specialists, and external consultants.
- Assist with Technical Submittals and ensure all design documentation meets project standards.
- Respond to RFIs and design queries in a timely manner.
- Participate in coordination meetings and design workshops.
- Support change management processes and assess design change impacts.
- Ensure design outputs meet quality, health & safety, and environmental requirements.
- Assist with as‑built drawings, O&M documents, and project handover.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
- 2-5 years' experience in a design engineering role (construction, consultancy, or contracting).
- Experience on large‑scale projectsd.
- Strong understanding of design coordination and construction methodologies.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented, proactive, and solution‑focused.
