Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Co‑Pilot / Prompt Engineers to support the design, development, and deployment of AI‑assisted workflows across a range of business functions. Working on a contract or project basis, you will collaborate with consultants, product owners, and business teams to build high‑quality prompt patterns, evaluate AI outputs, and enable effective use of Microsoft Copilot and other generative AI tools.

This role is ideal for individuals who combine strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and hands‑on experience crafting prompts that drive reliable, safe, and high‑value AI outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prompt Design & Engineering

    • Create, refine, and test prompts for Microsoft Copilot (M365, Studio, GitHub Copilot, etc.) and other LLM-based tools.
    • Develop reusable prompt frameworks, templates, and patterns for common business scenarios.
    • Optimise prompts for accuracy, reliability, safety, and alignment with responsible AI guidelines.
  • Workflow Development

    • Build end-to-end AI‑enhanced workflows integrating M365 apps (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Power Platform, and business systems.
    • Translate business requirements into practical AI solutions using prompting, plugins, connectors, and automation where needed.
  • Quality Assurance & Evaluation

    • Perform structured testing of AI outputs and iterate to improve performance.
    • Identify hallucinations, risks, or biases and recommend mitigation strategies.
    • Document prompt logic, usage instructions, and best practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement

    • Work closely with consultants, SMEs, and end‑users to understand use cases and refine requirements.
    • Run prompt‑working sessions, playback sessions, and co‑creation workshops.
    • Provide training, guidance, and knowledge transfer to business users.
  • Continuous Improvement

    • Stay current on LLM capabilities, new features in Microsoft Copilot, and evolving prompt engineering techniques.
    • Contribute to internal libraries of prompts, use cases, and playbooks.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience with prompt engineering for LLMs (e.g., GPT‑4/5, Claude, Gemini).
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Copilot ecosystem (M365, Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, Power Platform).
  • Ability to turn business problems into structured prompts and workflows.
  • Experience evaluating AI performance and iterating to improve output quality.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain AI concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality outputs under project timelines.

Desirable / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Copilot Studio for building custom copilots or plugins.
  • Familiarity with Power Automate, SharePoint, or Power Apps.
  • Background in consultancy, process optimisation, or user experience design.
  • Understanding of Responsible AI principles and data governance.
  • Experience running user workshops or AI enablement sessions.
