Role Purpose

The WIP Coordinator will perform administrative and physical tasks involved in the picking, issuing, storing, and tracking of parts for Work in Progress (WIP). They will manage the movement, deployment, and distribution of WIP materials to support production activities and ensure accurate transactional recording within the organisation's ERP system.


Key Responsibilities

  • Pick and issue stock parts to works orders as required and update the system accordingly.
  • Maintain quality, batch control and full traceability of all parts during picking, movement, and storage of WIP.
  • Adequately package all items for safe transport and preservation during storage.
  • Manage the storage of WIP to maintain correct material control.
  • Execute ERP transactions involving inventory movement and other material‑related updates.
  • Perform all operational tasks in line with prescribed safety, environmental, and health principles (FTIS).
  • Undertake 5S activities and contribute to housekeeping standards.
  • Cooperate fully with management to meet legal duties regarding health and safety.
  • Support the business with additional duties as reasonably requested.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience working in a Stores, Warehouse, or Inventory Control environment (highly desirable).
  • Experience within a highly regulated industry (Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, or similar) preferred.
  • Understanding of WIP processes and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Confident using computer systems and digital inventory tools.
  • Good understanding of safe material handling practices.

  • Kitting and WIP turnaround times.
  • Adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards.
