Our client, a London Borough in need of a dedicated professional, is currently seeking a Streetworks Inspector on a contract basis within the Highways sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting on-site inspections to ensure compliance with streetworks and highways regulations
- Coordinating streetworks activities and ensuring alignment with legislative requirements
- Collaborating with utility companies to agree on traffic management plans
- Managing and resolving issues related to streetworks activities and traffic management
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation in accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and Traffic Management Act
- Providing expert advice on streetworks legislation and compliance
- Reporting findings and ensuring corrective actions are implemented as necessary
Job Requirements:
- Experience in streetworks inspection or coordination
- Strong understanding of NRSWA legislation and the Traffic Management Act
- Excellent knowledge of streetworks regulations and highways management
- Ability to work effectively with utility companies and other stakeholders
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Capability to produce and maintain accurate records and reports
