Our client is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team in Houston, TX. This permanent role is ideal for a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional with significant experience in financial planning and analysis or accounting. The successful candidate will support US and Canada operations, handling essential financial activities and strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with regional operations leadership for financial analysis and decision-making support
- Analyse and report financial results, including revenue, margin analysis, operating profit, capital expenditures, and balance sheet activities
- Coordinate and oversee the forecasting and financial planning processes
- Provide analysis on P&L impact concerning restructures, organic expansion, and acquisitions
- Prepare financial models for CAPEX, M&A, divestitures, and organic expansion
- Monitor inventory health and support business transaction fixes
- Analyse root cause issues and propose solutions
- Support the review of accounting controls and the collection process across the business
- Travel between the US and Canada as required (domestic and international)
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Experience in FP&A or accounting
- Intermediate Excel skills with a solid understanding of financial principles
- Experience with JDE, Hyperion, and Smartview is beneficial, but trainable candidates are considered
- Analytical mindset with excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proven ability to manage financial data accuracy and provide comprehensive financial analyses
- Demonstrated leadership potential for upward mobility
