Lead and develop a specialist digital forensics function where quality, integrity and collaboration are central. This role combines people leadership, operational oversight and hands‑on expertise to support a wide range of criminal, civil and internal investigations. You'll ensure the team delivers high‑quality, defensible outputs while maintaining accreditation and supporting continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support and mentor a cross‑skilled team of digital forensic practitioners.
- Set team priorities, plan workloads and maintain consistent, high‑quality service delivery.
- Ensure all forensic activity complies with ISO 17025, the FSR Code and internal quality standards.
- Oversee method validation, documentation updates and accreditation development.
- Manage end‑to‑end casework processes, ensuring timely and robust outputs.
- Provide technical guidance on complex or sensitive casework.
- Help introduce new tools, technologies and improvements aligned with accreditation and operational needs.
- Act as a main point of contact for capability, performance and compliance matters.
- Produce management reports, risk assessments and performance insights.
Experience You'll Bring
- Experience in an ISO 17025 / FSR‑accredited digital forensic environment or law enforcement.
- Strong technical background in acquisition, imaging, analysis and reporting across multiple device types.
- Proven ability to lead, develop and support team members.
- Solid understanding of ISO 17025, the FSR Code, ACPO Guidelines and forensic quality systems.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to engage a range of stakeholders.
- Integrity, impartiality and resilience when working with sensitive or challenging material.
- Ability to obtain and maintain relevant UK security clearances (e.g., SC / NPPV).
- Relevant degree or equivalent senior‑level experience; professional memberships are welcome.

- This is a fully on‑site role in London with no remote or hybrid working due to the nature of the work.
