We're seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician with experience in microscopic engineering to join a leading aerospace organisation in Farnborough. This permanent role is ideal for someone experienced in working with fine, intricate components, particularly under magnification. If you have a background in watch repair, jewellery repair, electronics assembly, or similar precision work, this could be a fantastic progression into the aerospace sector.
Role Overview
As part of a specialist production cell, you will be responsible for:
- Assembling, testing, and inspecting aerospace instruments to stringent quality standards
- Carrying out detailed repair and refurbishment work using magnification tools
- Supporting the manufacture and maintenance of precision indicators and instruments used in aircraft and spacecraft
- Meeting quality, safety, and production targets within a regulated environment
Key Requirements
- Proven experience working with small, delicate, or complex components (e.g., watchmaking, jewellery, electronics, medical devices)
- Confident using magnifying equipment such as magnifying glasses or microscopes
- Ability to pass a practical trade test during the interview process
- Full right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
