Building Regulations Consultant

Permanent | Hybrid | 1 Day a Week in London

Our client, a respected and forward‑thinking organisation within the Building Control sector, is seeking an experienced Building Regulations Consultant to join their team. This permanent role offers the opportunity to ensure that construction projects meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The position is primarily remote, with one day per week required in the London office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all building projects comply with current building regulations and industry standards

  • Providing expert advice on regulatory compliance throughout all stages of construction and development

  • Reviewing and assessing architectural drawings, technical documents, and specifications for compliance

  • Conducting site inspections to verify adherence to building regulations

  • Preparing detailed reports outlining findings, risks, and recommendations

  • Offering guidance and support to project teams on regulatory requirements

  • Staying up to date with changes in building regulations and ensuring ongoing compliance

  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to support successful project delivery

Job Requirements

  • Experience within Building Control or a similar regulatory environment

  • Strong understanding of Class 2E, Class 3H, Class 2F, Class 2D, and Class 2A regulations

  • Ability to interpret technical documents, architectural plans, and specifications

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in assessments and reporting

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement

  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in building regulations, construction, or a related field

  • Willingness to attend the London office one day per week
