Our client, a prominent entity within the London Public Sector is seeking a proficient Clerk of Works (Project Delivery) on a contract basis to contribute to their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and monitoring the construction activities on-site for the Council's Capital Project programme.
- Ensuring compliance with building regulations and safety standards by inspecting workmanship and materials.
- Liaising with term contractors, subcontractors, other departments, utility companies, and external organisations.
- Documenting and reporting on project progress, site activities, and any issues observed during site inspections.
- Providing expert advice on quality control and construction techniques.
- Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation measures as necessary.
- Working collaboratively with project managers to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
- Ensuring the highest standards of site safety and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
Job Requirements:
- Experience as a Clerk of Works or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- A comprehensive understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for quality and standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in preparing detailed reports and documentation.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly to ensure project milestones are met.
- Relevant qualifications in construction, engineering or related fields are advantageous.
