The Role
Based in Glasgow, you will lead the development and delivery of high-quality renewable energy projects. You will manage individual projects through the construction phase and into operation, while supporting senior leadership on strategic tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead pre-construction and construction activities, including planning condition discharge and HSE compliance.
- Contracting: Procure, negotiate, and administer contracts, tracking performance and managing payment processes.
- Grid & Engineering: Manage grid agreement interfaces and general engineering activities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with regulators, statutory consultees, landowners, and local communities.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor project progress, financial management, and project economics.
- Lifecycle Management: Undertake development and operational works to maintain a holistic view of the project life cycle.
Education, Experience & Skills:
- Qualifications: Degree-level qualification in Project Management, Engineering, or Planning.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the renewable energy industry, specifically working on Solar PV, Battery Storage (BESS), or Onshore Wind.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK consenting processes and CDM Regulations.
- Contractual Expertise: Proven experience in contract negotiation and administration.
- Software Proficiency: Experienced in technical tools such as AutoCAD, GIS, or PVSyst.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to translate complex technical details into commercial impacts and propose creative solutions.
