Our client, a leader in the marine sector, is currently seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join their team on a contract basis. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient transport of materials between different sites, including Portland, the tech site, and the pool site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport materials safely and efficiently
- Ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Loading and unloading materials at designated locations
- Conducting routine checks and maintenance of the vehicle
- Communicating effectively with the logistics team regarding delivery schedules
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and materials transported
- Adhering to ADR regulations for the transport of hazardous goods
Job Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence
- ADR certification for the transport of hazardous goods
- Experience in driving and operating HGV Class 1 vehicles
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
