Our client, is currently seeking an Electronics Engineer to contribute to their dynamic research, development, and production programs. This contract position, falling inside IR35, involves the design and development of both digital and analogue electronics for multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-speed digital circuits including processors and programmable devices.
- Design analogue circuits and switched-mode power supplies.
- Utilise schematic capture tools and enforce layout constraints using rules, classes, and groups.
- Develop large, complex designs requiring multi-layer PCBs and PCB stack-up design.
- Create and edit schematics using Altium software.
- Deliver multiple, concurrent programmes ranging from research to production.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in an engineering, mathematical, or science-based subject or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in high-speed digital design.
- Experience in analogue circuit and switched-mode power supply design.
- Competence with schematic capture tools and layout constraints.
- Experience in multi-layer PCB design.
- Ability to create schematics using Altium.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in signal integrity analysis on routed PCBs.
- Knowledge of power distribution and thermal aspects of PCB design.
- Experience with Gerber file and ODB++ manipulation.
- Ability to perform complex layouts using Altium or PADs.
- Capability to create schematics using PADs.
- Experience using Windchill for version control.
