Our distinguished firm in the buildings sector, is currently seeking a skilled Registered Building Inspector to join their team on a contract basis. This position is a fantastic opportunity for those with expertise in Building Control, particularly with a Class 3H certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting buildings and construction sites to ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations
- Reviewing building plans and drawings for adherence to standards
- Issuing certificates of compliance and other related documentation
- Providing expert advice on building control to developers and construction teams
- Identifying potential safety hazards and recommending corrective actions
- Maintaining detailed inspection records and reports
- Conducting follow-up inspections to ensure rectifications have been made
- Liaising with stakeholders to address concerns and ensure smooth project execution
Job Requirements:
- Certification in Class 3H for Building Inspection
- Experience in Building Control and inspection roles
- Comprehensive understanding of building codes and safety regulations
- Ability to interpret and review construction plans and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
