About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable Network / Systems Engineer to join the SP Capability team, supporting the front-edge of a deployable communications suite within a defence environment. This is a hands-on, technically varied position suited to a generalist engineer with strong stakeholder engagement skills and proven experience in secure, complex environments.
You will work primarily from Site A (2-3 days per week) with additional flexibility to operate from ABW. This role is particularly well-suited for individuals transitioning from the military, or those with strong defence-sector experience looking for their next challenge.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver systems engineering support for deployable communications capability
- Hands-on configuration and maintenance of network and system components
- Collaborate with stakeholders across defence and technology teams
- Support operational readiness and capability deployments
- Contribute to continuous improvement and technical assurance activities
Essential Requirements
- DV Clearance & Sole British National (non-negotiable)
- Strong background as a Network / Systems Engineer (e.g., Cisco CCNA or equivalent)
- In-depth understanding of defence environments
- Ability to operate as a hands-on generalist engineer
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Highly Desirable
- Recent MOD or MAB experience
- Experience working with deployable or tactical communications systems
- Military background or strong knowledge of defence operations
