Our client is currently seeking an experienced BIM Designer proficient in Civil 3D to join their team on a contract basis.
This role can be based in Sheffield, Manchester or Leeds.
6 month contract, start asap.
3 days per week in the office as a minimum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed civil engineering designs, including models, coordination, and drawings using Civil 3D and Navisworks.
- Support clash detection and model coordination activities across different disciplines.
- Maintain accurate model data and ensure consistent application of BIM Execution Plan and ISO 19650 standards.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of Common Data Environments (CDEs) and project templates.
- Learn and embed digital workflows across design teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of BIM best practices within the business.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in modelling surfaces, corridors, pipe networks, and grading using Civil 3D.
- Experience with Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Understanding of ISO 19650 standards and local BIM mandates.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Bentley ProjectWise for data management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail in managing complex datasets and 3D geometry.
- Effective communication skills for collaborative work in design teams.
- Minimum HNC in Civil Engineering or related field, with significant experience in infrastructure or land development projects.
