We're seeking a Senior Configuration Engineer with a sharp eye for detail and strong experience working with and controlling product data. You'll join a supportive, highly motivated team that plays a key role in supporting many of our major business products. This role offers genuine development opportunities, including progression of your configuration management expertise and support towards professional accreditation.
💡 What You'll Be Doing
- Managing Configuration Control and Technical Data Management activities
- Interpreting complex technical data and Bills of Materials (BoMs)
- Preparing and governing Configuration Management documentation
- Coordinating and implementing engineering design changes across multiple stakeholders
- Presenting changes in formal change control meetings
- Supporting supplier audits to ensure configuration compliance
- Maintaining the integrity of engineering data, drawings and CAD models
- Working with PLM tools such as PTC Windchill (desirable)
🔎 What We're Looking For
- Background in Configuration Control or Technical Data Management (Aerospace/Defence ideal)
- Experience with large, complex assemblies and interpreting technical documentation
- Strong understanding of Configuration Management principles
- Confident managing engineering design changes
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and integrity
- Experience with PLM tools (Windchill preferred)
