Head of Finance Technology (Oracle ERP) - Outside IR35 Contract
Description:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance Technology to lead the strategy, optimisation, and ongoing delivery of a large-scale Oracle ERP Finance landscape. This is a senior contract position operating outside IR35, working closely with Finance, Technology, and Transformation leadership to ensure systems stability, strong financial controls, and an effective roadmap for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Finance Technology strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with Finance leadership priorities.
- Lead and optimise the full Oracle ERP Finance estate, including GL, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Expenses, Procurement integration and related modules.
- Act as the senior Oracle Finance authority, advising leadership on technology enablement and best practice.
- Drive transformation initiatives, including upgrades, module implementations, automation, and process digitisation.
- Ensure strong financial controls, governance, access management, and audit compliance.
- Partner with Analytics/BI teams to support accurate reporting, data integrity, and integration with EPM and downstream systems.
- Manage third-party vendors, system integrators, and offshore support models.
Essential Experience
- Significant leadership experience within Finance Technology or ERP functions.
- Deep hands-on Oracle ERP (Oracle Fusion Cloud preferred).
- Proven track record delivering Finance transformation programmes.
- Strong knowledge of Finance processes, accounting principles, and controls.
- Experience influencing and engaging senior stakeholders.
Desirable Experience
- Oracle EPM (Planning, FCCS, ARCS).
- Integrations, data platforms, and BI/reporting tools.
- Automation, RPA, or AI-enabled Finance solutions.
