Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Glascoed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and quality
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing solutions
- Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to resolve production issues
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Developing and maintaining process documentation and work instructions
- Monitoring production metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Providing technical support to production teams and troubleshooting operational problems
- Coordinating with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
Job Requirements:
- Experience in manufacturing engineering within the Defence & Security sector
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and methodologies
- someone who has worked in a lab previously
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- BPSS security clearance to start
- Ability to work onsite from Monday to Thursday, with flexibility to consolidate 37 hours into 4 days
