Our client, a leading global provider of after-sales service, lifecycle support, and technical solutions for workboats and offshore support vessels, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their UK Service Hub team in Portsmouth. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring occasional short international travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate warranty queries from customers
  • Provide clear verbal and written technical guidance
  • Coordinate, monitor, and supervise service activities, including occasional on-site support
  • Prepare technical and operational plans (resources, budget, scheduling)
  • Manage commercial assignments such as providing technical assistance
  • Travel internationally for training or support when required
  • Apply hands-on technical expertise across relevant vessel systems
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with HSSEQ standards (Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Quality)

Job Requirements:

  • Vocational or Bachelor-level education in Marine Engineering, Shipbuilding, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of various ship systems
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Proactive, organised, and able to maintain oversight across multiple tasks
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP advantageous)
  • Strong command of written and spoken English
  • Practical technical experience; maritime background is beneficial
