BAE Systems, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Logistics Operative to join their team in Barrow. This contract role offers the opportunity to work within a highly dynamic environment, supporting critical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials
  • Handling and documenting inventory movements accurately
  • Ensuring compliance with security regulations and protocols
  • Maintaining detailed records of logistics activities
  • Coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and distribution
  • Managing stock levels and conducting regular audits
  • Utilising logistics management systems to streamline operations
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to optimise logistics processes

Job Requirements:

  • Experience as a Logistics Controller within a similar industry
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles
  • Proficiency in using logistics management systems
  • Excellent organisational and documentation skills
  • Ability to follow security protocols rigorously
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workloads
  • Security clearance (SC) is required

Benefits:

  • Temporary to permanent opportunity with a 6-month initial contract
  • Overtime available
  • Work schedule: Monday to Thursday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Friday 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM
