Our client, a leading consultancy in the rail sector, is currently seeking an experienced NEC Project Manager to support a major rail infrastructure programme in Ireland. This high-profile project involves significant upgrades across civils, track, and signalling assets, and requires a proven leader capable of driving delivery within an NEC contract environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project delivery in line with NEC contract requirements, ensuring effective contract administration and early warning management
- Assess and administer compensation events
- Manage the delivery of civils, track, and signalling works across multiple work sites
- Oversee contractor performance, programme management, and cost control
- Drive collaboration between engineering, construction, commercial, and operational teams
- Ensure an up to date and realistic programme is submitted, reviewed and accepted
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and progress reviews
- Prepare and present progress reports to senior stakeholders
- Ensure all works adhere to Irish rail standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor progress against the programme
Skills & Experience Required:
- Demonstrable experience as a NEC Project Manager on large infrastructure programmes
- Strong background in rail projects, particularly in civils, track, and signalling
- In-depth knowledge of NEC contract forms and contract administration processes
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong understanding of project controls, including cost, risk, and schedule management
- Engineering or construction-related qualification preferred
- Previous experience working with national rail bodies or major contractors in Ireland or the UK is advantageous
