Skilled Fitters - Aerospace (Rib Cell)
Contract Opportunity
Our client, a leading organisation within the aerospace sector, is seeking two Skilled Fitters to join their Rib Cell team on a contract basis.
Both positions will be working on the late shift.
Pay Rates
PAYE - Lates (20% uplift): £25.94 per hour
Umbrella - Lates (20% uplift): £35.66 per hour
Late Shift Hours
- Mon-Thu: 14:15-22:30
- Fri: 12:00-18:00
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble aerospace components accurately and to specification
- Fit rib cell components with precision and a strong focus on quality
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
- Use hand tools and machinery safely and effectively
- Perform quality checks and resolve any fitting issues
- Work collaboratively to maintain effective production flow
- Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant work area
- Follow all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Proven fitting experience within the aerospace industry
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Competent in the use of hand tools and machinery
- Understanding of quality control processes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and compliance standards
- Relevant vocational qualifications or equivalent experience
Security Clearance
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance.
If clearance cannot be obtained, employment may not be possible or may be withdrawn on national security grounds.
