Our client, a leading company in the transmission and distribution (T & D) sector, is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager specialising in substation projects to join their team on a contract basis. This is a hybrid role offering a blend of remote and on-site work, providing flexibility and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects within the energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing substation projects from inception to completion
- Coordinating with various stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and suppliers
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Performing risk management to minimise project risks
- Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including schedules and reports
- Monitoring and reporting on project progress to senior management
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Managing project resources and facilitating effective team communication
Job Requirements:
- Experience in managing substation projects within the transmission and distribution sector
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools
- Proficiency in risk management and project planning
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant project management certification or qualification is advantageous
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid mode with both remote and on-site responsibilities
